Thank you to all of you who attended the AGM last month. We passed new bylaws, introduced the members of the board for 2020 and discussed negotiations. You can find out what happened in more detail in the 2019 AGM minutes.

Paid leave – Christmas closure

Once again, the University will be closed from December 25 - January 1. Continuing members will be paid for December 25 - January 1. Temporary members will be paid for December 25 - January 1 if the last day of your temporary appointment is after Christmas closure.

On Friday, November 15th, GLS is hosting its annual Winter Party and the fall Open House for prospective students. The theme of the party is the Italian Journey. GLS will be providing antipasto platters to accompany the cash bar at Al Porto Restaurant in Gastown from 7:30-9:30 pm.
As many of you know, the transit strike took effect on Friday, November 1. As I've mentioned before, I'm the Director of Parking & Sustainable Mobility Services. We're currently strategizing on offsetting the impact that the strike will have on the SFU community.
