Board of Directors election revote

In an effort to
provide you with the most user-friendly experience, we switched to a new
platform, FluidSurvey, for the Board of Directors elections. We’ve had
success using FluidSurvey in the past for the Salary & Benefits
Negotiation Survey and the Membership Survey.

However,
late last week we found a system irregularity that allowed individuals
to vote multiple times. While we don’t believe multiple votes were
deliberate, we can no longer guarantee the validity of the results.

Moving Forward

We are committed
to providing an electoral process that is reliable, transparent,
protects the rights and confidentiality of voters, and can be
independently verified.

To that end, we have no choice but to hold a revote.
We will do so using the historically reliable WebSurvey. This system
uses our APSA mail list, is log-in protected and allows only one vote
per log-in.

To ensure a fair
election, all previously cast votes have been voided. If you voted in
the election already, you will need to recast your vote using the link
below.

Voting

The
Board of Directors represent you and make decisions on your behalf.
They work with the University Administration, on advocacy cases, in
negotiations and with other members. By voting, you choose the leaders
who represent your best interests in this vital work.

Deadline

Voting closes Friday, September 9.
