This is two-part workshop on mindfulness with the goal of experiencing less stress, more joy and peak peformance.

Part 1: The Art & Science of Mindfulness covers,

  • what Mindfulness is,
  • research on Mindfulness & Neuroscience, and,
  • learning the ‘Take 5’ - a core mindfulness tool.


Part 2: Reversing the Stress Response and Hardwiring Happiness with
Mindfulness covers,

  • the physiology of stress,
  • research on health benefits of mindfulness,
  • the mechanisms for hardwiring happiness,
    and,
  • time to deepen the experiential practice of 'Take 5'.

About the facilitator

Bruce McCoubrey, MindWell-U

Bruce McCoubrey is a veteran of teaching mindfulness in schools, in the workplace and at the Crisis Centre in Vancouver, BC. Bruce has also written on health, wellness and environmental issues for a variety of international publications.
