One of the benefits APSA members receive is the Employee and Family Assistance Program.

This is a service which is provided by a third-party company called Homewood Health. This is a program which is open to APSA members and their families which provides counsellors and psychologies to help staff and their families with problems.

Recently, APSA has received complaints from members, ranging from being cut off from the program when there is supposed to be no set maximum, to the number of sessions to unethical counselling practices provided by the practitioners.

APSA would like to investigate this complaint further, but it would be helpful to know if there are more issues or complaints out there. If we share your complaint with the University,  APSA will use anonymized information for your privacy.

If you wish to share your experiences, we invite you to either fill out this confidential and anonymous form or contact Angela Vass at the APSA office at avass@apsacentral.ca or 778-782-4319.

Due to the potential sensitivity of the information provided, we are using our non-SFU email & forms provided by Google.
