As part of an ongoing process, APSA
meets with the University quaterly to negotiate changes to the AD 10 policies
via the Joint University Affairs Committee.
We would like to highlight some of the changes to which we have recently agreed.

be found on SFU's Human Resources website.

AD 10.01 Employment Policies (changes highlighted)

Revision of definition of Job
Related Courses to expand the definition; note that Lifelong Learning courses
are also eligible under this definition.

Addition of definition of Retired
Former Continuing Employee to reflect the fact that for some benefits that
continue into retirement (ie Tuition Waiver), a minimum of 5 calendar years of
service is required prior to the retirement date.

7.01 (d). Clarification of requirement,
for temporary members, of periods of three (3) weeks of uninterrupted service
