Social Media in the Workplace

Preventing the Perils of Posting

Social media is now mostly widespread in both our
professional and personal lives. However posting in one world can impact
the other. Though we have the right to a private life, the effect of
making ourselves known and heard can have potentially serious and
altering effects on our employment. To add to the confusion, research
suggests taking brief moments to text or post can actually boost
productivity at work.

In this entertaining and insightful presentation,
attendees will learn about expectations for social media at work.
Addressing the major online tools for expressing ourselves, participants
will learn to effectively balance being heard through social media with
maintaining professionalism.

Presented to a multimedia format,
participants will leave being able to navigate their own
online presence, learning from policy and current real world examples.
