Knowledge Philanthropy Event

Connect your talent and passion with community!

Join Maria Turnbull, Associate Executive Director with Vantage Point,
as she shares insights into what you need to know to
become (and excel!) as a board member or knowledge philanthropist (i.e.,
skilled volunteer) – and how to find the right role, and organization,
to engage with as a volunteer.

You'll also learn about the variety of volunteer opportunities available to
connect your passion with our not-for-profit and charitable community.

By end of the workshop, you'll be able to:

  • understand the role, benefits, and commitment of being a not-for-profit board member,
  • identify what type of volunteer role might be a good fit of your skills and interests and,
  • determine how to find that perfect volunteer role.
