On July 1, three wage increases were applied to your salary.
- General Wage Increase - 1.5%
In the last round of bargaining, our Salary & Benefits
team negotiated an agreement
that included general wage increases of 5.5% over five years. This year, 1.5%
was applied to APSA salaries.
2015 – 2019 wage
increase agreement schedule - Economic Stability Dividend - 0.41%
Last November, the provincial government
announced stronger than forecast economic growth in 2016. This resulted in an
additional modest salary increase of 0.4% for B.C. public sector employees this year. - Step progression
Members, who are at step 7 or below in the salary range, receive a
one-step increase. This is effective on July 1 of each year. It is based on
satisfactory performance.- Temporary
Employees
Temporary employees are eligible for a step increase if employed in the
same temporary position for six months prior to this date (policy AD 10.06, section 4). If
you do not see a step increase to your salary after July 1, please contact
your supervisor or a Human Resources Advisor. - Probation
Employees on probation will receive a step increase upon the successful
completion of their probationary period. See policy AD 10.22 for details.
