The APSA Pension Committee along with support from the APSA Board, recommended to the SFU Board of Governors Allyson Biro to be APSA's new pension trustee. The Board of Governor's approved and we're pleased to announce that Allyson is your new trustee.

Allyson is the Manager, Finance and Administration with Facilities Services at SFU. She has served in this role since 2017 and previously held positions at SFU in Financial Reporting and the Budget Office. Prior to joining SFU in 2013, Allyson had eight years of experience at the University of Guelph, starting as an analyst in the Budget Office and finishing as an accountant in the Physical Resources department.

Allyson graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and went on to complete the Strategic Leadership Program through the Society of Management Accountants (CMA). She hold current standing as a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA).

Allyson has extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial statement preparation and management skills. In particular, Allyson’s financial statement experience includes the preparation of annual statements for pension plans, which requires a solid understanding of their financial aspects.
