Welcome to a new decade! I hope that you all had a relaxing time over the holidays and are feeling as refreshed as you can.
This year will be a critical time for APSA. As David mentioned at our November AGM, we are returning to arbitrator Colin Taylor to resolve our impasse with the University over Mr. Taylor's award made in 2015. I am expecting that we will meet with Mr. Taylor later this spring. We will also begin bargaining following the resolution of the Colin Taylor award. While bargaining is happening later than in previous negotiating years, your bargaining team remains hard at work to craft our proposals and strategies. Expect more news on these items in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, please do stay tuned for updates on APSA's professional development events and please do come to see us at the Winter Social on January 14, 2020! For those of you who have enjoyed PD events with Merge, we plan to have her back later this spring to present another of her brilliant training sessions.
