We want to congratulate Kris Nordgren for being the 2022 SFU recipient of the SFU’s Staff Achievement Award for Leadership. Kris has been involved in APSA as a past board member and also as a past member of the Joint University Affairs Committee. He is also currently volunteering as the Salary and Benefit Committee chair. His work has been vital in our negotiations with the University and moving bargaining forward for our members. He was the lead bargainer during our last round of bargaining.
We are delighted to have someone like Kris, who is a genuinely people-focused leader, be the chair of such an important APSA committee.
In his SFU role as Assistant Registrar, Senate and Academic Services at Simon Fraser University, Kris is critical in supporting convocation, among other responsibilities he pursues with the help of his brilliant team.
