After a lengthy hiring process over the summer, APSA is pleased to announce our newest member of the APSA team, Aicha Araba Etrew.
Aicha Araba Etrew (She/Her) is a political scientist and gender and human rights advocate with extensive experience in strategic communications, policy analysis, advocacy, and community engagement. With a strong background in negotiations, development programming, and communication, Aicha has made significant contributions to academia and international development sectors. Her work has focused on member services, good governance, sustainable development, social inclusion, gender equality, and human rights advocacy. Aicha's work ethic is motivated by her passion for social justice and the desire to amplify the voices of those often overlooked. She is enthusiastic and open-minded about the future, constantly seeking ways to learn and inspire positive change.
Aicha began working for APSA on September 23 as our Member Services Coordinator. She has been undergoing training and working hard to support the board, team, and you, our members. Please say hello if you see her in person or online, and tell her congratulations!
