May 27 to June 2 was Bike to Work and Bike to School week across British Columbia. This initiative helps to raise awareness of commuter cycling all around the city. Since its inception in Victoria in 1995, 19,000 participants in over 35 regions and communities in BC have participated in this event (according to 2013 statistics). APSA Executive Director Andrew Boden often bikes or hikes as part of his commute to SFU. So participating in this event was a natural fit. If you missed this Bike to Work week and you’d like to participate, there is a fall session on October 21 to 27.
