What is Advocacy Corner? APSA created Advocacy Corner to answer general questions on the AD-10 policies which govern your terms and conditions of employment at SFU. APSA advocates and members of the APSA staff will often answer these questions on the committee's behalf.

APSA is pleased to announce the new officers for the APSA Board of Directors. Jill Sutherland was voted in as the 2023 president of APSA, Cindy Li was voted in as the new vice-president, and Jasper Stoodley is your 2023 treasurer. Please take a moment to congratulate all the appointees. We know that they are dedicated and will work hard for APSA members' interests. Before heading off on holiday, have you taken note of these year-end items? Paid leave – Christmas closure AD 10.08 Once again, the University will be closed for the Christmas break. Continuing members will be paid for this time. Temporary members will be paid for this time period if the last day of your temporary appointment is after the Christmas closure.
Arbitrations and Grievances APSA has filed a grievance based on article 9.2 of our Basic Agreement. This grievance is to dispute the University's inconsistent distribution of the professional development fund reimbursement payout for temporary members from our last round of bargaining. We hope to resolve this matter as soon as possible.
