Jo-Anne Ray is the chair of APSA’s Salary and Benefits Committee. She’s been an APSA member since 1995. As an APSA volunteer, she has been involved in bargaining, communications and area representation.
Jo-Anne has also played a pivotal role in her community and is a former vice chair of the Burnaby Regional Health Board and a former board member of the Simon Fraser Regional Health authority, where she served as part of both the continuing care and finance committees.
Her job at SFU is as the manager of Academic and Administrative Services for the SFU Publishing Program. She has worked in various roles for the Canadian Institute for Studies in Publishing and is the past managing editor of the Canadian Journal of Communication.
