On July 1, three wage increases were applied to your salary.

  1. General Wage Increase - 1.5%

In the last round of bargaining, our Salary & Benefits
    team negotiated an agreement
that included general wage increases of 5.5% over five years. This year, 1.5%
    was applied to APSA salaries.

  2. July 1, 2015 1.0%
    July 1, 2016 0.5%

  3. Economic Stability Dividend - 0.41%

    Last November, the provincial government
    announced
stronger than forecast economic growth in 2016. This resulted in an
additional modest salary increase of 0.4% for B.C. public sector employees this year.

  4. Step progression

Members, who are at step 7 or below in the salary range, receive a
one-step increase. This is effective on July 1 of each year. It is based on
    satisfactory performance.

    1. Temporary
      Employees

Temporary employees are eligible for a step increase if employed in the
same temporary position for six months prior to this date (policy AD 10.06, section 4). If
you do not see a step increase to your salary after July 1, please contact
your supervisor or a Human Resources Advisor.

    2. Probation

Employees on probation will receive a step increase upon the successful
completion of their probationary period. See policy AD 10.22 for details.

The annual and biweekly salary scales have been updated with the increases. They can be viewed on HR’s
APSA information web page, under “Salary”.
